		<description>I LOVE witch hazel.  Walking through the J.C. Raulston Arboretum in February, desperate for some hint of spring, I always find the lovely patch of witch hazel behind the winter garden.  The flowers can sometimes even be rather fragrant - with a citrus sort of smell.  It is a unique plant, and not all appreciate the spidery flowers that adorn its naked branches, but this is one that always makes me smile :)

Oh, and I sometimes use witch hazel on my face as a toner.  Seems to work rather nicely - it cools my sun-laden skin in the summer.</description>
